The Margaret Thatcher Centre Fellowship Programme

The Margaret Thatcher Centre is delighted to expand its student programming this year with a unique offering, organised in association with Young America’s Foundation in Washington DC.

Open to all university students aged 21 years and older, and those returning to full-time, postgraduate education, this exclusive 10 day residential programme will run from Tuesday, 29 July, to Saturday, 9 August. The split programme will see students spend the first 5 days with The Margaret Thatcher Centre, gaining inimitable political and cultural experiences. Students will have the opportunity to:

• attend political briefings at establishments such as the US Supreme Court and Congress.

• attend think-tank briefings provided by some of the most reputable institutions: the Heritage Foundation, the Cato Institute, the Competitive Enterprise Institute, Americans for Prosperity, and the Leadership Institute.

• visit historical political landmarks such as Mount Vernon, the home of the first President of the United States, and educational establishments such as William & Mary College and the Smithsonian.

• experience true Washington, DC culture by attending sporting events such as a Washington Nationals game.

Young America’s Foundation

The second half of the programme will be spent with Young America’s Foundation, specifically attending the annual National Conservative Student Conference, an event that Ronald Reagan famously addressed before, during, and after his presidency, where students will hear from conservative leaders, meet other conservative college students, and learn a plethora of conservative ideas.

The programme is heavily subsidised at just £495/CA$495. This covers flights, accommodation, and the full programme listed above. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, conference materials and conference merchandise will also be provided.

If you require further information, please contact the Events Director, Gemma Baldock.

Delegates will be placed in same sex shared accommodation.

Applicants must be 21 years or over by 29 July 2025.

The closing date for applications is Friday 23 May.
